Who is Isaac Viel?

Isaac Viel was born in Ogden, Utah on Sept. 19, 1979. Shortly thereafter, he moved to San Diego, Calif. where he grew up immersed in the beautiful cross pollination of urban sprawl, track homes and southwest deserts. Among the mix of competing landscapes was the ocean where he spent every moment he could, surfing or just enjoying the scenery.

In September of 2001, he moved to Eugene, Ore. to find a new batch of scenery that might inspire him. Inspiration came just a few years later with the purchase of his first digital camera. It was not long after that he decided to leave work behind and pursue a college degree in advertising and journalism. Years later, Viel is currently a student at the University of Oregon studying Journalism and Advertising.

Viel is currently working as a graphic designer/web intern for the University of Oregon Office of Admissions in Eugene and attending school full time. Reaching back to his childhood memories, Viel is still chasing the sunrises and sunsets in order to capture the images he has in his mind. He also works as freelance photojournalist, a wedding photographer, and just about anything else related to the field.
